Good Friday experience
Church without walls:
|
CAMA Churches gather for an amazing and solemn interactive play of the passion of Jesus, taking place on Good Friday at the Pavilion of the Commando Peninsula at 7pm. With painful realism, the heavy cross, the crown of thorns, the whipping of the Savior are very emotional as the drama is played out in a circular "walk" close to the audience. |
|
Since 2010, many churches of Cochrane have cancelled the usual "inside our walls" service, for this event to gather as one church.
Sunday Aug 11 10:30, 2019! Town of Cochrane invited us to use the beautiful new Peninsula area again for the service. Don't miss this annual community event! Free-will offering supports the Local Food Bank. |
Living nativity |
This year's Live Nativity (Dec2019) was our 12th, where the churches have gathered to reproduce the biblical Nativity story complete with live actors, live animals such as donkey, sheep, horses, etc., all acted to the biblical narrative. This picture is from Dec 4, 2015 |
carol sing and supper
|
The decision was made to create a new event that combined the blessing of a community carol sing, a community Christmas meal, and a talent show. Last year (2019), was our 2nd of this type. We again used the Tim Horton Events Centre (THEC), and about 240 people showed up for an amazing event! Many community businesses and individuals donated and supported. |
